This week my focus has been on stress and stress management because it is can cause flares and inflammation with our autoimmune disorders.
- A Diet to Reduce Stress
- Stop the Negative Talk and Start Reducing Your Stress
- Does Your Attitude Create or Relieve Stress
As adults, we can really stress out about something and make it so big and terrible in our minds that when the time comes around to face the stressing situation, the situation ends up not being as bad as we had imagined. Getting stressed out about the “it” ends up being for nothing. We have never solved any problems by worrying or stressing over them.
Stressful thinking can over take our minds and cause us to see everything through a negative filter.
Stress can cause harmful effects on our bodies:
- Hair Loss
- Poor Digestion
- Irregular Periods
- Weight Gain
- Acne Breakouts
- Reduced Sex Drive
- Autoimmune Disorders

Meditation for Stress
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
When my anxious inner thoughts become overwhelming, your comfort encourages me.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
