Are You a Moisture Seeker?

Are You a Moisture Seeker? I Am!

I got inspired today to write a post for the new year. Dryness is always at the forefront of my health every minute of everyday, so I’m going to start there.

If you have Sjogren’s Syndrome then you are a moisture seeker. Having dry eyes and a dry mouth isn’t the end of the world, but it can be frustrating, irritating, exasperating and any other “ing” you can think of.

Today I have been looking through a few videos on YouTube and I have found a couple of very informative videos. I’ve been posting them on my Facebook pages, and then I thought I should just write a post and put all of these videos in one place.

Video #1 Sicca vs Sjogren’s

I can identify with a lot of the information in this video. I have had the strip of paper stuck to my eye and I had to spit into the tube to measure how much spit I have. The spit test was hilarious because it took forever to get enough to be tested.

The parotid gland on both sides of my face have been swollen for years. My doctor said that Sjogren’s has changed the shape of my face. I also have a swollen gland on the right side under my chin. All of my doctors have mentioned it, but none have ever suggested a biopsy.

I have Lupus, Raynaud’s and now that I have had four biopsies I now know I have Scleroderma.

Video #2 How to Treat Dy eyes Naturally

The information in this video is pretty much common sense. Changing the diet is a big take-away from it. I won’t be drinking the green smoothie that is recommended. I have tried smoothies and I just don’t like them.

Dr. Zigler mentions a free book that you can download. Click here to get your free copy.

Video #3 Dry Eyes Natural Remedies

Dr. Allen talks about blinking more. Do you blink when you use the computer? I don’t blink very often. I use a lot of artificial tears when I work on the computer because when I do blink my eyes are all dried out.

Dr. Allen talks about a couple of things we can get from Amazon that will help us with our dry eyes.

I’m going to be trying these products!

Here are more products that are mentioned in the videos:

I wish all of you who are moisture seekers relief from your dryness. If you are using any products that are helping you, please share what you are using and the results you have had in the comment section below.

Happy New Year!

Thanks for the great dry eye tips! I have Sjogren’s Syndrome and it’s a never-ending struggle for me. Artificial tears are my go-to but I’m also considering trying the Bruder mask (my opthamologist recommended it).
